Reviews about Sears Outlet
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆August 29, 2020, by Divine TravistyWith the hundreds of places that consumers can purchase appliances and furniture, Sears is more nostalgic and irrelevant than ever. My wife and I happened to be in a shop next door and I had never been in the little "Boutique" Sears Outlet store before, so we stopped in to kill some time and look around. We actually found a couch that we really liked as well as a reclining chair to match. The price was right and we immediately made our purchase. They said the couch was being ordered and it would take 7 to 10 days which I thought was reasonable even though I'm not really a patient person and I like to have my items immediately. The deadline came and went. No furniture. We called to find out what the status was and they gave it another week. We had made arrangements to get rid of our current Furniture to somebody else and make room for the new furniture but unfortunately that wasn't coming so now we were put in a very uncomfortable predicament. We had already waited that long I guess another week wouldn't be the end of the world although it was disappointing. Yet another week came and went and we were told that the couch was finally in but the chair was not. By this point it was getting ridiculous so rather than make repeated phone calls which they didn't seem to appreciate I went into the store to talk to somebody. I was told by a sales rep that had absolutely no customer service skills that if I ordered the Ashley Furniture I would be lucky if it came in at all. EVER. He even went as far to say that that's the reason he never tries to sell the Ashley Furniture because it almost never comes in after being ordered. Needless to say the guy had the professionalism of somebody that had had their coffee pissed in every day of his life. We're now at the month mark and nobody seems to know if or when our furniture is going to be delivered to the store nor do we know if it'll ever make it to our home. As the sales manager for a company that does about 40 million dollars per year in sales I'm seriously conflicted about what to think because I don't know if I should be appalled or offended or surprised or all of the above at the terrible service and lack of compassion or professionalism from the Sears Outlet store and more specifically the staff at this particular location. And it's not just the one person that I am not impressed with but the entire store staff seems to have a complacent disregard and lack of empathy for anybody besides themselves and seem to be bothered by anybody wanting to do business in that store. We're going to cancel our order for the items that we were told we could have after they were paid for already. I would literally spend a hundred percent more than what we did if it means that we would be treated with a sliver of dignity and empathy and professionalism, as well as actually get the items paid for. My company has been trying to source 10 new couches and 20 or 30 recliners for our business and I was so ready to do that through Sears because of the amazing price they had, but literally anywhere else is going to be better then Sears. So to the people at Sears Outlets everywhere pretending to work I can only say thank you very much for the lesson learned because I will save everyone the time and energy wasted on dealing with anything relating to do with Sears ever again.
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆May 04, 2019, by Felice LococoMy experience with this place is that even though they have good products, the delivery / installation team sucks, and can't keep a commitment. I ordered a dishwasher from this store on 6/1/2017, and was given a delivery / install date of 6/8/2017. I was told "24 hours before installation I'd receive a call from an robot message, telling what time the installers would be out on Thursday." Wednesday night comes, and I receive the robot call they will be out from 1-5 pm, please be available, because they will not deliver if they can't reach you between those hours they will not deliver. All day Thursday I waited and waited, no call from ANY installer was received. Call the store up, they were going to call and return a call to me with a status. Spoke with a store manager named Brandon. He didn't return my phone call. Thursday comes and I go to the Corona store to find out why my purchase wasn't delivered. I spoke with Cody, and she called the live number, and got an answer, that the delivery was actually scheduled for 6/9/2017, and would be delivers and Installed between 1-5PM. She also told me to call her if they didn't deliver by 5PM. I called Cody at 4:30PM to tell her they haven't called with an ETA, and she said she would call me back with a status. Let me stipulate, that I've already got my credit card backed out, and Cody made sure that I was taken care of. She is the epitome of good customer service. Too bad Maureen wasn't and I'm stuck with a fill hose, and a power cable, because she forgot to add that on the initial purchase. As of this writing, 6/10/2017, I plan of returning to the store today and getting the charges for the purchase, delivery, and installation backed out, on my credit card. You can keep your garbage, because if you let the tail wag the dog, Sears deserves to go out of business. It's a shame this happens, but this is what occurs when management doesn't accept responsibility for not hiring competent staff to complete the delivery and installation of its products. I'll make my purchase at Lowes or Home Depot, and hopefully they'll have a better selection than GE or Whirlpool to choose from. IMHO, I feel a few higher up head honchos should be given the axe, because of this snafu. And please get your phone line fixed. It's really noisy with crackling.
